Salinas’ Best Storage Facility!
Was thoroughly shocked to discover on a broker’s site that there was one last RV storage (and a COVERED space!) available in my area—and at such a convenient location to my home. When I arrived to move in, I soon learned why: the space in question had a fire hydrant pylon obstructing entry, making it a very narrow spot to maneuver a large rig. Assistant Manager, Jason, explained that because of the pylon issue, the space had been “flagged” as a somewhat problematic site, but had been ignored by the broker’s site. We were crushed—and desperate. Jason offered to let us try to move our rig in and accompanied us to ensure the safety of us and our RV. As novice, first-time RVers, we lacked the expertise to finagle the tight spot and asked if we could bring a friend to help us the following day. Jason had no problem and said he’d be on site all day. Our friend managed to squeeze our rig into the narrow space, much to our great relief!
We couldn’t help but notice that this facility was newly painted, attractive, well-maintained and clean, clean, clean! It’s evident that the folks here take pride in the grounds, office, and daily operations of this facility. We even saw the Manager herself, Ruby, trimming the bushes outside the office. Seriously, folks—one could practically eat of the ground here, it’s THAT clean!
We found Jason to be extremely personable, knowledgeable about the facility, and professional. We felt that he did everything within the legal perimeters of his job description to make this frustrating situation work for us. His light-hearted humor helped alleviate much of our frustration and concerns. The move-in paperwork was handled expediently and explained to us in a clear manner by Jason, as well.
We would highly recommend this Trojan Storage location for its cleanliness and well-maintained facility, however, it’s the PEOPLE working here like Jason and Ruby that make it a GREAT place!
