WONDERFUL customer service but bait-&switch pricing
FIRSTLY I need to say how wonderful Shelly and Alice were in getting me set up there. This would be a five star review across-the-board if it weren’t for the following: despite me reserving the unit well in advance to lock in a $56/mo rate (I even called the day before I travelled to Danville to confirm they had my reservation/that rate)… when I got there I was informed they didn’t have the unit at that cost, but rather the same exact sized unit would actually be $64 (???!!!) a month!… and there was nothing they could do to change the price to honor the original reservation. FURTHERMORE it turned out that I was ALSO required to purchase $14 a month in rental insurance which was a cost I was not previously made aware of. ALSO the promise of first two months free wasn’t entirely true as a partial month counts against the two months free. So instead of two months free I for something closer to 1.66 months free. So I was a little disappointed with all that to say the least. Kind of surprised and shocked actually, but at that point, despite my best efforts to lock this in and confirm it all ahead of time, I had no choice, but to pay all this extra money that was not part of my original decision-making process in renting this unit. But at that point I had no choice, but to accept it. Basically, I walked in that door expecting to pay $53 a month and instead am paying $78 a month (more if you count that partial “free month” I’m missing out on. Disappointing and felt very much like a bait and switch, to be honest with you, especially as I initially already had a unit in consideration elsewhere for $75 a month!
